WHO WE ARE

Whitewater Student Government (WSG) is the official voice of students, made up of two branches: the Executive Board and the Senate. Together, they work to represent student needs, support campus initiatives, and help shape decisions that impact student life.

Beyond the main branches, WSG also connects with key partners across campus. SUFAC helps allocate student fees to organizations and programs, Emeritus members offer experience and guidance from past years of service, and Rock County representatives ensure students at the Rock County campus are included in student government conversations.

Our weekly meetings are held on Mondays at 7 PM in UC 259, where all students are welcome.

what we do

legislation

WSG senators collaborate on legislation covering a wide range of issues. As one part of shared governance on campus, WSG has the ability to participate in broader conversations about what UW-Whitewater should look like. Legislation is discussed and voted upon at our weekly Senate meetings on Mondays at 7 PM in UC 259 where all are welcome.

student advocacy

WSG focuses on representing and advocating for all students across a variety of issues. Our executive board is always available to address students' concerns, no matter the topic or size of the task. Feel free to contact us regarding any issues you may have.

Programming

Throughout both the fall and spring semesters, WSG organizes and collaborates on several campus-wide events. A few areas include sexual assault prevention and sustainability. To get involved with these events or learn more about our events, explore our social media or contact us.
